Captivated and Obsessed
An indulgent immersion into awe with the plants that hijacked my attention the first year we moved to Minnesota. These creatures caught my fancy — which then escalated into obsession — and did not let go. They became people to me, telling me stories, showing up in the books I was reading and the dreams I was having. They teased me, comforted me, irritated me. They became kindred spirits — companions to this day.
